Hitachi Transport System (America), Ltd. has a great reputation
for being a good corporate citizen locally and nationally. Hitachi
has been recognized for involvement in volunteer work, community
development * it's many charitable efforts.
One of the highlights includes, The Children's Room in the LAPD
Southeast Division. The children's room was developed & conceptualized
as means for giving back to the community. The warmth of Room provides
a safe, happy, and cozy place as innocent victims wait for child
services.

HTSA participated in the North America National Food Drive that
was held in August. Our employee's were very active in collecting
and donating over 395 lbs of food for the local Salvation Army.
In the recent days, with child safety in mind, our latest endeavor
has become very important to us. To keep our children safe Hitachi
Transport purchased 2000 Fingerprint kits for the children in the
LAPD Southeast Division. In August, we participated in LAPD's First
National Night Out where the kits were handed out to the children
that attended. Hitachi Employee's that volunteered were Mr. John
Hoshi, Ms. Tricia Tran and Nadine M. Flores. Keeping out kids safe
has become a national issue that has touched many lives in the recent
months. as of concern, and the committee votes to determine which
projects can be supported to beneficially impact our communities.
