About us - Regional Community Action Committees
|
 |
The Hitachi Transport "Community Action Committee" (CAC) identifies and funds non-profit organizations that have a history of making a meaningful impact in our communities. Inspired by the tremendous work being done by the Hitachi Foundation, HTSA has taken ownership of the spirit and intent of good corporate citizenship.
Frequently our employees and their families make personal contribution to our effort by volunteering their time, and through food drives, toy drives and monetary donations that assist with disaster recovery.
The CAC also maintains strong partnerships with local law enforcement to identify at-risk youth, and support programs that provide alternatives to the gang culture that permeates many of our larger cities.
Here at Hitachi Transport we are committed to a long term and significant contribution to our communities.
Hitachi Transport's commitment does not stop with the local CAC. Hitachi Transport is also an active participant in the "Southern California Regional Action Committee" (SCRCAC).
The Goal of the SCRCAC is to identify the critical needs of he Southern California Communities, promote employee awareness and community involvement and support community projects by providing funding, equipment, and/or volunteer services.
Established in March 1995, the SCRCAC is made up of members who represent various other HITACHI GROUP companies located throughout Southern California. The SCRCAC truly embodies the philanthropic philisophy that includes providing both financial and volunteer assistance to meet community needs.
